QuakeEs has no user accounts and does not keep your name, email address or phone number. The data that can be on our server is the alert registration, and it only exists if you turned alerts on in the app.
That record holds: your alert criteria (distance, province and minimum magnitude), the random installation identifier the app itself generates, the notification token that lets us send you the alert, and your last known location (latitude and longitude).
There are two ways to delete it. In the app: open Settings, go to Alerts and turn them off; the record is deleted from the server at that moment. By email: write to support@quakeesalert.com from any device and ask for deletion; if you can, mention your phone model and roughly when you turned alerts on, so the record can be found.
What is deleted: the whole record, that is, your alert criteria, the installation identifier, the notification token and the stored location. No copy remains, because we do not keep a history of deleted records.
What is kept: nothing. The email you send us is used only to handle your request and is deleted once it is resolved.
On top of that, records with no activity for 90 days are deleted from the server automatically, even if nobody asks. That covers the case of an app uninstalled without turning alerts off first.
Data that lives only on your phone (the location in secure storage and your preferences) is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in the system settings.
